Old school I may be, but the **lack of basic human engagement** in shops and restaurants is shocking. No greeting, no smile, no "please" or "thank you"—just employees glued to TikTok, Instagram, or WhatsApp instead of focusing on the **paying customers** who keep them in a job.

I find it **saddening and frustrating** to see this indifferent attitude becoming the norm.

💡 **Here’s the reality:**  
With the **cost of living crisis**, rising unemployment, and customers being more selective about where they spend, **great service is your secret weapon**.

👉 **Want to stand out?** It’s not just about fancy digital marketing or a cool brand image—**it’s about PEOPLE**. **People buy from people.** 👥

🚀 **Raise the bar and get your team performing better. Here’s how:**

✅ Set **clear service standards** and never compromise.  
✅ Train your team to **smile** and show genuine interest in customers. 😊  
✅ **Body language matters**—eye contact, a welcoming gesture, and a real smile go a long way!  
✅ **Presentation & hygiene**—a bar of soap and deodorant work wonders. 🧼👃  
✅ Train staff to ask **great questions** and engage with customers. 🗣️  
✅ **Actively listen** to your customers—what do they need?  
✅ Only hire people who **love** interacting with customers.  
✅ Teach your team to **upsell naturally**—not push, but help. 💰  
✅ **Create a fun, engaging environment** so customers keep coming back. 🎉
